Complaint Handling Policy
Barristers First is committed to providing a quality service at all times. Whilst we sincerely hope you have no cause for concern, where you do have such a concern, we would value the opportunity to try to put things right.
We have engaged a third-party company so that they provide us with an objective view and provide us with feedback so we can improve our service. Their name is CRCS Legal.
How to make a complaint
You can raise your concerns in writing or over the telephone. CRCS Legal contact details are as follows:

Where you do write to them it would be useful if you provided your full name and address, contact details, set out what your concerns are about and what you would like to happen as a result of making your complaint.
What will happen next?
- CRCS Legal will appoint a complaint manager to your matter. They will be your point of contact and they will provide you with their direct contact details.
- They will write to you within 5 working days acknowledging your concerns and requesting further information if it is required.
- The complaint manager will speak with the people involved, and request paperwork from Barristers First as required.
- These steps will be carried out within 3 weeks of your initial contact (if this needs to change CRCS Legal will let you know).
- CRCS Legal will then write to you setting out what they have found and making a proposal to resolve matters if appropriate.
- At all stages CRCS Legal will copy us into communication with you, so that there is transparency.
***Please note, if your complaint relates to the services of your chosen barrister then your barristers’ Chambers they belong to will have their own complaints policy and you will be able to complain to them directly***
